A bedside lamp is a small, portable light fixture designed to provide illumination next to a bed or in a bedroom. It typically features a lampshade and can be turned on or off easily, often with a switch or touch sensor.

The Sword Lamp Project
Each kid will be building their own sword lamp that can be used for reading, halloween and maybe even some basic games.
Some of the stuff we'll do.
- Work in CAD to design parts of the sword.
- Program the microcontrollers to turn on the lights.
- Wire and solder necessary components.
- Learn about electricity and circuits.
- Go watch the sources cut out at a local CNC mill.
- Assemble the lamp and test it out.
- Customize the lamp with different colors and effects.
